Did not receive ascendancy points for trail of chaos

I just completed the trial of chaos on my chronomancer and didn't receive any ascendancy points. This is the first storyline playthrough on it so im not sure what to do.

How many points do you have and how many trials have you completed in this Trial of Chaos? Did you click on the Altar of Ascendancy? |

I have two from doing the trail of sekhemas. My chronomancer has just completed the trail of chaos for the first time. I clicked on the altar but got no points from it. I belive I should have gotten the next two points which would have put me at 4 points. I left my charecter in the room so I could report and hopefully get the two points.
