Items with two protected affixes that would fit into a magic item don't become magic when scoured
Tested in three ways:
- Manifold Ring with two prefixes, metamod prefixes can't be changed, scour. - Regular equipment item with fractured prefix and a single suffix, metamod suffixes can't be changed, scour. - Acquire a double-fractured item in Standard (one prefix and one suffix), scour. All of these cases don't downgrade the item's rarity to magic. Last bumped on Aug 2, 2025, 1:28:08 PM

Is there something I missed that explicitly states this is intended behavior? I've heard it's been this way for a while, but haven't found indication of it being deliberate yet; I'd figure an Orb of Scouring would reduce an item's rarity to the lowest that can still accept the remaining affixes, and none of these cases were possible in 1.2.1 when metamod crafting was introduced.
