exerted slam can't get reflect immune

I have crafted an elder ring with 44% reduced reflected phys damage and taken the phys mastery for 60% reduced reflected phys damage and i am one shotting myself in phys reflect maps on the popular earthshatter warcry build that alot of people used early in the league (3.26). This happens with no other modifiers, even tried ele reflect with no issue. I am trying to progress to end game and am unable to get reflect immune. Has anyone else ran into this issue, I feel like it may be an overlooked bug. Or maybe someone can explain to me what I am doing wrong, like is phys reflect immunity imposible on a build like this.

I can't be sure without looking over your character AND seeing modifiers in the zones you run, plus which mobs are present and what they do, but here's the most likely explanation:

"Reduced damage taken" including Reduced Reflected Damage, stacks additively with "increased damage taken".

So, you have 104% reduced reflected damage taken. Let's suppose you've got a 30% shock on you. That means you've effectively got 74% reduced reflected damage taken.

There are lots of other sources of "increased damage taken", but shock and various curses are the most common ones.

So, you have several choices:

1) Don't run Reflect maps. This used to be the standard, before Risk scarabs became meta. Just reroll the map. Or just don't use it if it's corrupted.

2) Get actual reflect immunity, rather than reduced reflected damage taken. This stat is pretty rare, but there are some sources, like the Slayer node "Bane of Legends".

3) Become immune to the things that make you take increased damage, like Shock and curses.

4) Get so much reduced reflected damage that it overbalances the increased taken (e.g. 160% or more).

if you look at my profile you are able to see my build. and those are great points however i do not have time to roll another character like slayer and my sole purpose in doing this is to defeat atziri and the feared maven fight. im immune to shock and have significant reduced effect of curses and i have even tried running maps with just phys reflect with the same result. thanks for your response
also i have now crafted 2 rings and phy master for a total of 139% RRPD taken and got the pantheon for 50% reduced reflect
After some deep diving on the wiki, it turns out that "phys taken as" applies before "reduced reflect physical damage", so you're probably being killed by Lightning damage due to your body armour implicit.

A single hit from your attack can deal over a million damage. If the enemy has no mitigation for it, you're taking the reflect amount for the whole hit (somewhere around 15%, depending on what tier of maps you're running. As much as 100% on Valdo maps). 15% is 150000. 11% of that is 16500. 18% of that (due to your lightning res) is just under 3000. You may have additional mitigation lowering it further, but that's all just for ONE hit.

If you hit a pack of 20 monsters at once, you take 20x that much. From the first hit. If you then attack again, you take more. This is on top of the self damage you take from your helmet.

Note that the "cannot take reflected physical damage" mod apparently applies both before and after the shift, so it should save you. But they're hard to get.

You'll either have to give up on the damage shift, or find another solution (or get more than 100% of both reflected phys and relfected ele reduction).

Even if you become immune to all other sources of "increased damage taken" (probably impossible), you'll still have the 10% from Aspect of Carnage, you want at least 110% of each. More is safer.

you my good sir are exactly right. just changed the phys as lightning implicit to 45% reduced reflected damage taken and i do take a small amount of damage but it was definately the conversion. Now i kno, thanks alot your a life saver.
