Ascendandy trials are not fun

I have posted 3 of these now i think, but i keep coming up with reasons why they aren't fun. Hoping to get at least a few of the issues addressed.

The latest reason i have is forcing players to interact with a mechanic, that randomly assigns you a debuff, thus making the build, that you engineered to work a certain way, impossible to progress. So you then have to spam run either of the trials in hopes that you don't get that build breaking mechanic, or combination of build breaking mechanics. Its not a skill based reward its an RNG based reward which isn't fun.

Labs in POE 1 weren't fun but at least if you played well you could complete them and then move on with the parts of the game you enjoyed and even attempt other aspirational content later on, but with a build that is complete. So in that case if you failed it didn't feel so bad because you knew you could get better and overcome it, whereas the trials in POE 2 are RNG based.

I would be totally fine with this being a pinnacle boss scenario where you get some reward for completing it and its aspirational content, if it wasn't tied to literally getting your character's build to work properly.

The trials in my opinion are the worst part of the game, and without them or with them in some other form, i would literally love every part of the game. It is a masterpiece of a game by the way, and has ruined any other AARPG for me, lulz.

Anyway hope this is addressed at some point. otherwise keep on cooking you guys are killing it over there.

Terrible to farm, massive time investment for minimal reward unless you are running Sekhema with great relics and hit exactly movespeed.

Trap rooms in Sekhema are essentially full room clears. There is no creative way to skip anything, no meaningful decisions in pathing, you simply walk around the entire room and hit switches in a predetermined order. Incredibly boring and slow.

Chaos escort trials and soul core trials are fundamentally flawed with the modifiers obtainable. If you get a bad area denial mod and it decides to spawn on the core area or the escort, your trial is bricked. You legit have to just go again. Apart from that, they are also slow and uninteresting with no real decisions to make. Awful design.

Lastly, the bosses often cast things after death. The bird boss in Chaos, the twins in Sekhemas, they both more often than not cast things after you have already killed them and completed the challenge. It is completely BS to be robbed of a clear because their spell effects do not disappear on death like rares.

Trials are not meant to be easy. This is the gate to end-game content that you either have to pay or pass. If you want easy content, there is always Diablo.

This kind of take will either flop this game or limit it's growth, that's why you don't see the devs and big honchos spewing such [Expletives].

Elitism helps no one, especially when it comes to objectively boring content.
They're trials, not meant to be fun or easy, they have to be a challenge for your build.

I like sekhemas the most because it needs some sort of thinking when you choose the path to the boss, there are shrines to cleanse debuffs and restore honour, a merchant to buy buffs.

Chaos on the other hand offers 10 arenas and only debuffs (also hate escort the statue, waiting that thing to reach the end is boring af).
And the fight against trialmaster is locked behind rng so it might take way more than 3 attempts to fight him.

Add that to the list of reasons why league restarts are stupid.
Having to redo those trials all over again.

Not meant to be easy is the part i can deal with but not being fun is absurd. It's a game and fun is the main reason i play video games.
Except for Floor 4 of Sekhema and Chaos with 10 rounds I don't see, honestly, how can anyone fail the trials.
At the eve of the end

Are you struggling on trials or it's just the design that you dont find entertaining?
Like i said they're not meant to be fun (personal thought) but well cooked builds make it less painful and almost fun to run through.
Is 1 shotting pinnacles hundreds of times funnier?
