Loot
I am very sure this was already talked about one thousand times, however I just wanted to share some points in hopes that the GGG team can see my point.
Recently I took a brief break from POE2 and gave LE ( Last Epoch) a go. I will have to admit that the POE2 game engine, colors, sounds and game play overall is better, that's my opinion. However, LE has a lot of offer as well, in terms of stash management, item management, item filters, and crafting. I wont be going into details of stashes or loot management or filters, but I do want to touch on crafting. Crafting in LE works by collecting shards and using them to upgrade your equipment stats. There are so many of them, you never feel restricted in crafting (upgrading) your equipment. Never. And how about POE2 crafting, which is really a randomizing of stats on the item. I would be OK with it if we get a lot more “currency” divs, exalts and everything else. Currently, unless I spend real money and buy currency from the Chinese farmers, there is no way for me to do any item manipulation. I find a helmet that has 2 prefixes that I like, I throw exalts into it, and rest assured nothing that I need comes up. The item is useless now and this is the case for 99.9 of crafting. I can't use Div's, because they are so rare and expensive, I can't use change orbs because they are so expensive, I can't use nulls because they drop ones in a century. So basically, I can randomize every item that I find and don't get it to where I want it. Or I need to spend lots of money and buy hundreds of divs from the Chinese market. Why not have all the currency drop plenty of times? So that players can craft whatever they want when they want to? Found a good item? Low suffix and prefix? Use divines , 2 3 4 10 , experiment, want to remove one , use null , and not once or 2 times because simply don't have any, but several times, Games like LE and POE2 are not only about running maps, but also about equipment and loot and crafting, it's a big part of the game, why restrict something that allows for more creative gameplay? By the way, by introducing way more currency drops into the game you will kill the chinese farmers. I want to craft, randomize all the time and not feel restricted and actually get value from the items that drop. Also, some class targeted drops would be nice too. For example, I play sorg, and everything that drops is for the warrior, armor and hammers, no focuses, no robes, no wands. Every drop is useless. And if I do get something, I cant use divs, or nulls or chance it, because .. all of those are so rare that I rather go and trade and get a ready to go item, but it shouldn't be that way. You want to find a single item and keep it forever by crafting it into the best-tier thing?
No, thank you. I prefer to kill rares, bosses and do content to find a lucky drop, then slam some orbs into it and check if that improved or not. If not, let's kill some bosses again and have a new chance if I really want that one item even stronger. I do this rather than read multiple spreadsheets and sit in hideout for hours, clicking on that single one item to fabricate something that makes me ignore all the drops cause nothing better can be found. My point of view. It's okay to have different views on the same thing :) *Also - Don't buy currency from bots and farmers. Just don't. Last edited by Sargoth_CZ#3391 on Jul 29, 2025, 1:13:44 PM

It's funny because people say this but then every playthrough I manage to get pretty insane items in almost every slot. Are you checking vendors? Are you gambling? Are you doing a farming strat, or focusing on particular mechanics to get currency? Are you collecting bases to recombine or are you just exalting them and then deleting them?
Probably shouldn't mention trades that aren't in-game on the forum. I had a problem in 0.2 when it first came out because all the good supports were nerfed and the drops were worse than they are currently, now when I run through a new SSF run the game is just pooping out currency and good items for me. IDK man. This complaint was valid at 0.2 and 0.1 league start, but these days, nah. You are probably struggling because it is really late in the league so the economy is cooked and everyone else is pretty much done. All that being said, it would still be very nice to have late-game farming strats that are more lucrative and exciting. Nerfing breach out of existence was a massive mistake. Good points, thank you for sharing.
So, going back to your post. " No, it shouldn't be that way, but at least you should be able to get it to somewhat useful. Now its pure randomization. " We salute your perseverance! Great. However playing with your stash is a big part of games in this genre. :) Replying to AverBeg " Very valid suggestions! Spend millions on gambling, its raw few items drop that I would try to re-combine. Re-combining is hit and miss. Example. If I want to play it safe and recombine things with 85% success chance, I could do that but somehow that 15% failure rate gets me every time. :) I am not farming, which is what I probably have to do? Drop my gear, get something with high chance to find... and just run t10 maps.... but that's boring imo. [Removed by Support] Its a problem. GGG knows it, market is full of farmed stuff, For Christ sake, there are BOTS available to run that you can find on google very easy. Its not a secret what is going on. I have 6 characters in the end game, every campaign ran I would get like 10 exalts , 5 chaos orbs and.. lots of lower tier currency. My original post was about having soo much currency that I am not afraid to spend 10 divs on the item, Everyone is hording divs because its much easier to get something on the market for 1 div, then randomize with 10. Thats my point. Last edited by Vash_GGG#0000 on Jul 30, 2025, 9:49:26 PM

I'd like to see something like veiled orb, which can only be used on unidentified items to identify the item with one mod chosen by the player, from a pool of three (or two?) mods. you use the orb on the item, get three options, choose one, and the item is then identified and guaranteed to have the mod chosen. obviously, the item can still roll the mods that were not chosen, they are not excluded from the affixes to be rolled (or maybe they are? but that could be too op). this would also make tiered items much more interesting.
this doesn't really have to be tied to a currency, but making it a default feature through an npc or something would be very tedious since you'd be losing out by not identifying every single item alternatively, one of the expedition npcs could be used for this with artifacts as currency. the higher tier the item is, the more artifacts the item costs to identify, or something like that. low weight mods could have a slightly higher weight to appear when doing this and this would improve build diversity as a side effect, because for example, some crossbow builds simply dont work when your crossbow doesnt have the additional bolt mod, which has extremely low weight. and going crit is one of the only ways to scale damage in endgame but crossbows have 5% base crit and you cant go crit unless you have a good crossbow with a high base crit roll, etc. "buff grenades" - Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades) Last edited by auspexa#1404 on Jul 30, 2025, 10:17:44 PM
