What happens to gear on mercs at the end of the league?

I've searched the forums for as many different combinations of that question as I can but couldn't find the answer, and the release notes for secrets of the atlas/mercenary league.

There will probably be a post on the matter in the Announcements forum maybe 2-3 weeks 1 week before the league ends?

I would expect it to work like Heist rogues, though: all goes into a remove-only stash tab.

Too early for this just wait for information before end of season. There is no answer since GGG probably doesn´t know it either yet.

I'm assuming I will need to unequip the items before the league ends. I would like to keep my Ephemeral Garb :)
