Gifts From Above only procs when Mercenary crits and not main character

I have 2 GIFTS FROM ABOVE unique rings on my character. I have 17%+ crit chance using CYCLONE and my two weapons each.

I never proc a crit that sets off the consecrated ground hence I also never get the bonus of increased rarity.

However, if I have a mercenary with me, when the mercenary crits, it procs the consecrated ground.

Uncheck hide characters tab -> Update -> Report back when done and we can take a look at anything that might be blocking the interaction on your character.
