Paywall: Stash Tabs
False. You barely use stashes in campaign, and the things you put in them can be put in the 4 standard stashes you are given when you open the game for the first time with no transaction on stashes.

" You can play the entire campaign with just those 4 basic stash tabs. I think it can be manageable. You might not be efficient and save everything but still doable. Almost like a trial period. If you like the game and want to proceed to end game or play more than 1 character, its absolutely required to have multiple stash tabs. The only way to get around some limitations is joining a guild that has a gems tab, unique tab, etc but you still will be severely limited. |

" That's just completely false and if you plan on having multiple characters it's even worse Last edited by CovidPatientZero#4772 on Jul 30, 2025, 2:54:59 PM

" If you are telling me you use on a single character (lets say the league starter) all the 4 stashes up until you hit level 60-70 and finish campaign then I don't know what to tell you. Even if you are SSF you don't pick that much loot, you don't have resources yet to craft properly so the bases are not that useful (we are talking about campaign). At the eve of the end

The game (both PoE1 and 2-EA) are perfectly playable without stash tabs or any other kinds of microtransactions. I did so myself for many years until i felt i ought to give something back as well. I have a few premium tabs (currency, map, unis, 2 premiums) and thats it. Do they make the game smoother? Heck yeah. Do i _really_ need them to play? Not at all. | |
poe is a shareware game and they'll greatly diminish their income if stash tabs become free

When spending money on a video game I always consider how much time and enjoyment am I getting out of that video game to determine what amount I am willing to spend on the game. The current four stash tabs allows players to experience the entire game even if QOL isn't as high towards the end game. If you don't consider the amount of time or enjoyment is sufficient by that stage to justify any contribution, then don't contribute.
But I am a big believer on supporting the developer if you are enjoying the game. My playing time on POE 2 would now be close to 1500 hours since release and I have very much enjoyed the game. I have no issue with paying for the QOL improvements that come with the stash tabs because I don't think they are asking an egregious amount for me the amount of time and enjoyment I am having certainly justifies that support. Besides, they also regularly go on sale and you can get a sufficient amount to work with for a relatively reasonable price given how much full priced games are selling for, hence why some people have referenced they consider it purchasing the game after a really good trial period. |

I'm playing the game with 11 stash, no quad, I have 700hrs now and I have to clean my stashs every 10 hrs of gameplay.
I have only one stash for selling, it means that I have to choose which items to keep for sell. I make way less currency than someone spending money on stash because I don't have the stock to compete. I am not playing the same game. It's a shame, I would have paid for cosmetics to support the game. But I was falsly advertised a complete game (free later! LOL), that I had to pay 30€ for. Hiding USER INTERFACE behind paywall is one of the worst practice I whitnessed in video game. Defending it is disgusting. It is litterally advocating for inequality inside a video game, rendering one's experience less than others, entirely justified by the money spend. Considering everybody here paid 30$ to access early content, it's even more trash to have USER INTERFACE kept under a pile of money. It drives inequality amongst players structurally, which leads prices to skyrocket when individuals dominate the "free" market with the wealth they accumulate in their stashs. The only way I can think of someone defending this system, is someone thriving on it. Other models exist. Too bad they chose this one. Not expecting anything from there. |

" When you paid $30 to get into the Early Access, you also got the same value in shop points. What you are essentially saying is, you spent those points on something other than stash tabs, or you bought them when they weren't on sale, and now you are mad about it. You should've been able to afford a currency tab, a gem tab, and a quad. It's insane to complain about it. You got access to the game, and you got the points it would've otherwise bought you. It was a good value purchase, you just made poor decisions with what you got. GGG is not at fault here. They gave you much more than any other company would for that $30. Probably the only arguably predatory practice they have is mystery boxes, but you can just choose not to buy them and all you will miss out on is MTX.
