I think it comes from the additional bosses that spawn through domination scarabs of terror and bosses from destructive play. Scarab block nodes are only for natural dropping scarabs. Forced scarab drops such as the 25% chance on atlas tree are not naturally dropped, thus bypass all block nodes. Scarab reward icons also forced, such as Legion or Delirium.
