Not sure which combination of mods / server lag was occuring, but I would occasionally teleport towards rares and uniques that were generating volatile cores.

EDIT: looks like this happens on any map, happened on (normal) Shaper.
Playing on Lockstep, which might not be a great idea with occasional lag...

EDIT2: Flame Dash was in my normal Curse slot and I didn't notice.
