Slashing Horror Spectre does not use owner's Rage
Perfect Slashing Horror Spectres have the line 'Affected by Owner's Rage'. This does not work as intended. All of the items/skills that modify your Rage (like Kaom's Primacy phys as extra fire) don't work on them, despite the wording of the spectre.
They do seem to gain SOME effect, and also show the Rage visual effect (red-ish aura). Tested as follows: (Ref # 3.489.459.570) - Using 1 Perfect Slashing Horror Spectre, no support gems - 0 flat fire damage for minions from any source - Kaom's Primacy axe as main hand weapon ("Every Rage also grants 1% of Physical Damage as Extra Fire Damage") - Flammability curse for 25% Ignite chance Expected behaviour: After stacking about 50 Rage on my character, Rage should grant roughly 75% Phys as extra Fire Damage. Perfect Slashing Horror should inherit Owner's Rage, including 75% Phys as extra Fire Damage. Using Flammability on monsters for 25% Ignite chance should enable the Spectre to Ignite these monsters somewhat consistently with this Fire Damage. Note 1: Perfect Slashing Horror has a limited-uptime buff it casts on itself that also gives 100% phys as extra Fire Damage. I made sure this buff was down during testing, because that will mess things up. Makes testing a bit harder though. Observed behaviour: Perfect Slashing Horror Spectre NEVER Ignites targets, which are affected by Flammability (tested while their buff is down). Conclusion: Perfect Slashing Horrors don't actually use the Owner's Rage, and don't gain the effects that stem from that (Berserker's attack speed per Rage, Kaom's Primacy phys as extra fire, increased armour from Rage Mastery, etc.). They do seem to get something though, as indicated by the 'red hue' Rage visual indicator. They also seem to do more damage, but that is very difficult to test for me. Request: Can you guys change Perfect Slashing Horror's behaviour such that it is affected by all the Owner's Rage effects? I would really love to play my Warcry Minion Berserker. Note 2: I made sure to test this on multiple packs of monsters, so it's not that I accidentally tested on an pack that was Ignite immune. Base rage functionality (1% more attack damage per rage) 2. 1% increased attack speed per Rage (from "Crave the Slaughter", from the Berserker ascendancy) 3. 1% increased armour per Rage (rage mastery) 4. 1% of physical damage gained as extra fire damage per Rage (Kaoms primacy unique 2h axe) 5. 1% increased movement speed per 5 Rage (rage mastery) 6. Sources of increased rage effect ("Rite of Ruin" from the Berserker ascendancy, and "Berserk", the skill gem.) 7. Sources of increased maximum Rage (Vengeful Cry, passive tree nodes, etc.) Now including my observations: 1. Base rage functionality (1% more attack damage per rage) Uncertain. Might work, spectres do seem to gain some damage, but it doesnt "feel" like 75% more damage. 2. 1% increased attack speed per Rage (from "Crave the Slaughter", from the Berserker ascendancy) Somewhat certain. Anyone who has played a minion build knows how important attack speed is. 75% attack speed should be a huge difference, and from the eye test it doesn't look increase their attack speed by that much, or at all. Maybe they just have strangely low low base attack speed, but still. 3. 1% increased armour per Rage (rage mastery) No idea. 4. 1% of physical damage gained as extra fire damage per Rage (Kaoms primacy unique 2h axe) Certain. As described in the OP, spectres should at least ignite some of the time. They never do, which leads me to conclude they dont gain the fire damage. 5. 1% increased movement speed per 5 Rage (rage mastery) Uncertain. It "feels" like they move faster, but its hard to measure for me. 6. Sources of increased rage effect ("Rite of Ruin" from the Berserker ascendancy, and "Berserk", the skill gem. No idea. Inc rage effect is dependant on the rage effects themselves. 7. Sources of increased maximum Rage (Vengeful Cry, passive tree nodes, etc.) No idea. This is also dependant on the rage effects themselves. Note: Someone in an old reddit thread about these spectres suggested that the spectres use the "old rage effect", from before it was changed to what it is now.
