Mercenary skills should automatically reload on switching
Current Scenario:
I have two skills equipped: Crossbow Shot (7 bolts) and Fragmentation Rounds (21 bolts). I fire once with Crossbow Shot, reducing its ammo to 6 bolts. Then I switch to Fragmentation Rounds and fire 10 bolts, bringing it down to 11 bolts. When I switch back to Crossbow Shot, it still only has 6 bolts remaining. This doesn't make sense. When I switch (it is called "load") a skill, the ammo should be fully replenished, especially since the switching animation takes about as long as a reload. For example: If I fire all 7 bolts from Crossbow Shot, then switch to Fragmentation Rounds and fire some bolts, then switch back to Crossbow Shot, I am forced to reload again just to refill the bolts. This feels unintuitive and clunky. Suggestion: Switching skills should automatically refill the ammo for that skill, rather than leaving it partially empty. This would make switching smoother and more logical, as it already takes the same amount of time as a manual reload. Last bumped on Jul 17, 2025, 6:58:28 PM

Annoying implemented skills that are worst of all weapon skills. Seriously nothing works fine in Crossbow skills, there are ton of bugs. Same situation with dodge roll. Why should i pace after dodge to reload weapon.

It is the main balancing reason why Crossbow skills lacking quality. If the DPS of Crossbow skills is weak compared to other weapons, then we expect at least problems with swapping, switching and dodging not to prevent reload time.
Most people abandoned the weapon in early 40 level when seeing that other weapons are faster and with double more DPS. If I add also the lack of offhand gear ( that is another injustice rule about two handed weapons ) then the reasons of quittings are obvious. Fix the damn problems please in 0.3.0. I think the class Mercenery is not fun and with low survibility due to these reasons:
1) Dodge Roll/Swamping/Switching actions prevent Reload time. Imagine during fight having 2-3 sec delay before ececuting an attack. It almost leads to death. 2) Auto Reload time shouldn't be the only way to reload weapon and need a way of manually use. Perhaps a button or something that allow the manually use. 3) Most of gems don't work correctly on Reloading time and sometimes need to wait longer times. 4) Overall it needs more buffed passive points of Skill speed and more options between warriors and Merc area in P.Tree so that the timing of reloading could be reduced to an acceptable level. |

Im waiting the patch 0.3.0 and i beg Devs to do something with bugs in dodge roll conditions.
Personally i stopped playing crossbow couse of dodge roll that prevents orher actions like switching and reloading. I don't understand why this punishment doesn't happen with caltrop skill. Seems like that game doesn't provide justice rules for every playing style. |
