A lot of them are on power trip. It may sound ridiculous to normal people. ABle to gatekeep, control what can be allow or not is an authoritarian power like being Prefects (students given power by school to monitor student behaviours) (or whatever you called that in your country) in high schools.

I got banned over some bullshit quite a while back, and I'm actually glad I can no longer reply to anything. Makes it easier to not get baited into stupid arguments over random nonsense.
