For me personaly this has felt like D2 mercs 2.0 that i have longed for in PoE and i hope they go core! I feel they bring a great extra layer to build your character & party play.
Keep balancing them and enable new stuff that will work on them just like a normal player. And i would not mind having a end of season post just like this! ^^ Cant have to much Junk in your Stash

For the risk of losing renown, can you please highlight the expensive/super rare item if the merc is using it?

The amount of Mercs being skipped should be more than an indicator of how imbalanced and stupidly broken them Mercs are/were, so players were not interacting with them at all.
When the league mechanic is not wanted to be interacted with it should raise all alerts. |

The amount of bozos complaining about the tone of the post shows not that GGG is out of touch, but that their player base is frailer than you were when you attacked a merc.
