Linux Overlay / purchase

Hi guys.

So, i had to disable my overlay some time back, and haven't missed it, because it gave me a much better performance in game.
However... I recently felt like, buying some skins, and what not, so i could support this fine game.
Though... Now i can't purchase coins, due to not having overlay... And that kinda sucks?

I've tried to enable the overlay in both the Steam app, and under the game itself under "Library" but to no avail.

Read in an old post, that other people have had this issue before, and i was curious, if this has ever been resolved?

Thanks.

I mean, I wouldn't say a purchase is impossible: https://www.pathofexile.com/purchase

It'd help if you went into detail on 1) how you're running PoE on Linux (e.g. if Proton, which version), and, 2) what happens when you try to access the Steam overlay in-game.
I find it difficult to justify optional purchases to support a Tencent-owned development studio that declines to provide customers Technical Support, regardless of how many thousands of euros that customer has spent...
I'm on a Linux Nobara. Everything is up to date, so running latest Proton. S'cuse me for not remembering the version of it.
But you're right. I should've been more specific.

And to answer your question : "What happens..." ? Well, bubkiss... I tried to install a new version of Steam, and i instantly remembered, WHY i disabled overlay in the first place. (Haven't tried it in PoE yet, as it's been a very hectic day.)

So, i removed Overlay in the first place, because it would pop up the friends list, and sometimes the steam browser itself, with a 30 second interval, and i couldn't get it to stop doing that, for the life of me.
No clue what caused it, but with this new install, it started doing it again... (In Civilization VI)

And in regards to the old Steam install, nothing happened when i would press the hotkeys to open overlay. Nor would it automatically open Overlay, when i'd press the "Buy" button in PoE. All i would get, is a notification, that i would have to enable Steam Overlay, in order to purchase...

And after actually enabling that in steam, AND under settings for the game itself... No change... STILL wouldn't open Overlay... ?

I'll go ahead and see if it works under this new install, however... If it continues to throw the Steam Browser and/or friends list up every 30 sec, i'm disabling that sh!t once more...
I'll let you know...
Well, that was a thundering disappointment...

This new Steam, can't mount my secondary drive, where i keep my game data. And i honestly can't be arsed to mount it. I prefer my sh!t to "just work"... You know... I mean, i get it's not "WindUUUhs", but still... And Nobara has afforded me that, thus far...
Last time i had to mess around with mounts (Tumbleweed), i had to reinstall my sh!t every time an update came around... That's why... The... "Just work" mentality...

You know?

Oh well... Guess i'm sticking to the old Steam, that's native to Nobara... And not the one you can install through Yum... Which is a bit wierd to me... Shouldn't they be one and the same ?
