Windows has options to encrypt access tokens on the users behalf: only the current user can decrypt it (e.g. after a reboot). I'm a developer and that's what we use at work to persist existing login tokens to disk, so that our users don't have to enter their password over and over again. This, tokens is the way to go.

Had the same issue with having the client thinking I'm in a new location when using a mobile network router, the only option I have at my location. Had to switch to Steam to not go mad. I'm all for the security for our accounts, but having complex passwords truly makes it a hassle. If we can use tokens instead, we keep the security and minimize the hassle.

That said, you should really stop designing content that only gives you one shot and that's it.

I lost a fat ship and all of my t5 crew because I disconnected on this pirate boss that's pretty easy to kill otherwise. But of course you had to pad its duration with 2 immunity phases and with servers this unstable this is just risky to run. But you have to run it, otherwise the ship is gone anyway.'

Hardcore mode is different, players bring this on themselves. I would never even consider playing such a mode in a live service game, but each to their own I guess.

Make this boss harder but with 3-6 portals.
