Effects of brutal shrine acquired at dark shrine not disappearing

Yesterday, I touched the dark shrine in the lab and was affected by the brutal shrine.

After that, the effect of the brutal shrine seems to remain after I left the lab.
I get extra gore effects and knockback even though there are no other sources.

However, equipping the gull does not increase the damage.
Switching characters or logging out did not remove the effect.

I touched the brutal shrine again on the map and the effect of the brutal shrine remains after the effect wears off.
