Mercenary can't equip Items without Attribute Requirement

Trying to give my Mercenary a Skin of the Lord. It doesn't have Attribute requirements so i thought they should equip it since its not a dex/str/int item anymore.

While we are at it. Pls let us have a little bit more input on Mercenary skills. Just spend 100 maps farming a merc that I can use to aurabot for and he has brutality linked so I cant boost damage with Smite.
