Why do I feel like I die 10x more often this league - sucks the fun out of the game for me

Hey folks,

While I understand I'm still a novice at the game even after more than 3k hours invested, I must say I find it extremely frustrating when I see that content introduced is mostly accessible for the top end players.
Once again, a league where the rich get richer and the poor stay poor. The new t16.5 maps are absolutely a joke when it comes to the downsides making more than 60-70% of them suicide even trying to attempt unless you have a decked out character.
Now getting to the "decked out" point is more difficult (at least for me) this league. And I found myself feeling extremely squishy with any of the 3 builds I tried (volcanic fissure zerker, bama guardian, dual strike of ambidexterity champion).
There is absolutely no fun in running maps that have drowning orbs, shaper beams through every corridor, sirius degen, exarc degens every 5th step. The degens are just insane and really difficult for a lot of builds to overcome even if they would be visible on the ground.
While I understand getting to T17 should be a challenge, getting to T16 farming strats should NOT require so many deffensive layers (which are almost always the same: spell suppression, resistances higher than 75 which have gotten to a funny point anyway with the -max, lot of phys conversion or insane armor numbers + evasion, block chance, ailment immunities, curse reductions and more).
This league, while at the core introduces a lot of novelty feels extremely un-fun, at least for me. I don't get to enjoy anything because I die so much more frequently and to situations that give me NO chance to react in MAPS not uber bosses.

Long rant, probably a lot of skill issues in there I know, but I did not have fun this league so far.

PS: I won't say anything about the technical problems of this launch (I think this is a top3 contender in terms of worse launches).
Or the absolute joke of the mercenaries which I would not be surprised to hear are soon to receive a buff making them permanently delete your character and sending you straight back to the beach.

Yeah T17 mods were a mistake. I just ran those maps either transmuted and regaled with 2 mods, or after the regal use annuls to remove ALL mods and make it a rare map with 0 modifiers. I can't be bothered to deal with the horrible game design that is t17 map mods.
