Farming T16.5 Dunes with Legion – Strange Card Drop Behavior (Bug?)

Hi Exiles,

I've been farming T16.5 Dunes maps with a consistent setup and noticed something strange regarding divination card drops—particularly those tied to the Basilica Map via the Scrying mechanic. Here's my current setup:

2x Scarab of Wisps

1x Horned Scarab of Nemesis

1x Legion Scarab of Officers

1x Legion Scarab

My Atlas is fully specced into Beyond and various map effect modifiers to maximize mob density and map rewards. I’m running maps with 130%+ quantity consistently, and using the Scry Map device from Basilica, which should theoretically enable drops from the Basilica’s divination card pool.

However, after running around 100 maps, I’ve only seen:

1x Demigod's Wager

1x Seven Years Bad Luck

That’s it. No other Basilica-linked cards have dropped, and it feels off.

This leads me to wonder—could there be a mechanic at play where Legion rares have a separate drop pool? This might explain the lack of standard currency drops as well (e.g., not a single Sacred Orb so far). It feels like the monsters from the Legion encounter, especially rares, may not be pulling from the regular map drop pool, or perhaps their drops are restricted in some way.

Has anyone else experienced similar results? Could this be a bug, or is there a hidden mechanic I’m overlooking?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi again,

Since my last post, I’ve completed around 50 more Dunes maps, still using the same setup with Legion, Nemesis, and Wisps scarabs, as well as 130%+ quantity. The result? I droped a seven years bad luck. 1 map later enligtened card. Nothing more from the Basilica divination card pool.

Let me be clear—I’m not complaining about loot, but I find the behavior of div card drops very strange. The rates feel off. I've been playing since Blight League, mostly focusing on Legion content throughout the years. After the magic find and div card scarab nerfs, I expected slower returns, but this seems beyond that.

There are tons of rare monsters in these maps, especially from Legion encounters. Am I missing something here?

To compare: back in Phrecia League, while farming Rogue Exiles, I was getting a Headhunter or Mageblood about every 300 Heavy/Leather Belt drops.

Are drops from Legion monsters handled differently? Could they have their own drop pool, separate from standard rare or unique monsters?

If Legion monsters do have unique drop logic, that might explain all of this.

Would love to hear from experienced or pro players—especially those who've done deep Legion farming in current leagues. Have you noticed something similar?

Thanks in advance!
