Hey there, the Steam Client Key is solely to grant your account the Path of Exile 2 client in the Steam library, and does not grant access to the early access in and of itself. These are obtained once per account. Your friend should still be able to participate in the Early Access using the standalone client if they have successfully redeemed a valid Early Access key here.
