Steam validates files every time i open the game

Since the latest patch whenever i open the game i have to validate game files through steam which takes like 10 minutes... Also, when i log in, the game says i need to download latest patch which obviously is done but if i just press enter a couple of times i get in. If i cant log in then i get stuck in a steam validation loop.

Same thing is happening to me.
Tried reinstalling the game. Verifying game files. Reinstalled steam. Cleared steam cache. Nothing seems to fix the issue. |

Unfortunately, even the latest patch (3.26c) did not fix the issue,

Having the exact same issue. Any feedback on this yet, or possible fixes?
Edit: I have found if you retry several times to just login (clicking ok every time the message regarding "restart your game a patch is waiting" is shown) it works without needing to patch or verify files. Last edited by 4DaMouf#0058 on Jun 22, 2025, 2:53:26 PM

I'm still having the issue, on every game start I get a full validation.
Did a clean install yesterday and did not help. This is nuking SSDs at the moment with all the scanning happening. |

I'm having this exact same issue.
1. Run the game, click Log In. 2. Login Error: There has been a patch that you need to update to. Please restart Path of Exile. 3. Click Log In a couple of times and log in successfully 4. Next time I try to run the game, it revalidates the files the next 10 minutes. 5. Repeat from Step 1. In the log file, I can see the following text: " |
