Fortitude not respecting higher Fortification

How to reproduce:
Two Champions, both with Fortitude allocated.
One Champion with Maximum Fortitude investment (e.g. Steadfast wheel on tree to have 26), to have higher than default Fortification.

Have the two champions stand close to one another in a map.
The Champion with high Fortification will have only the 20 Fortification of the other champion instead of his own maximum of 26.

In my opinion the "you have your maximum fortification" should override the "nearby allies count as having fortification equal to yours" if it is higher.
