@GGG why the silence about the server issues?
Even though I understand it's not pleasant to deal with servers that are on fire and to admit mistakes were made (again) somewhere with 3.26; and you're probably trying to fix it.
The POE community deserves better. They deserve to know WHY the game is unplayable at this point; and why EU servers (among others) have such serious issues? I'm at a point where I can't even finish 1 zone (yes still in the acts... -.-) without disconnecting with a ping rising to 10K+ It's also so random ... one time it's an ultimatum, next a random area on the map, then while fighting a merc... SO GGG what is going on; why are the servers on fire (again)? Last bumped on Jul 16, 2025, 5:37:34 PM

" It's league launch - they have some people for sure. If not then they shouldn't launch on weekends. -> Some other ARPG got that memo. |

" Sucks to be them, I don't care what day it is since they are so sure about their products that they release them on FRIDAY. |

" they've always launched like this, i agree they should have a few people on stand by for when sht goes this poorly though |

They ARE working AND communicating. About console, about new bugs, about the race... They just avoid the taboo question of servers. Even on the "unfair race" post they carefully avoid to mention it.
They clearly gave up on it, or plainly choose it. Minimal server cost ? Jon wanted to kill the game for a long time anyway, so making players "quit by themselves"... That would be stupid, but this silence looks stupid anyway. Other possibility, they just gave up. Shared code between poe1-2 client, server... With the senior devellopers depart, newcomers worked on the game as they could for 3 years and now, it's fucked up beyond reparation. So anyone in GGG know the game is already dead, and they tried to milk a last batch of supporters pack. Hence the weird communication of Jon suddently wanting "poe1 to live forever". Poe he tried to shut down for the last 8 month (if not more ?) |

" The fact that "they always did XYZ" doesn't mean that they should keep doing the same bs that doesn't work AGAIN. It's their own choice to do things bad while being fully aware of it, it's not some fresh indie studio that started last year and releases their first product. And because this is their own choice to sabotage themselves, I have literally zero respect or empathy to anyone taking such decisions, they should know better after 13 years, POE 2 0.2 fiasco, and other dev studios shifting maintenances/regular releases to wednesdays. |

" From past launches we know they do - that said I'm not asking here to fix the servers in the weekend; I'm simply asking/suggesting for communication about it. They have their "live update post" latest I see was the PS5 launch... Edit: now the XBOX launch... but NOT a peep about EU PC server issues... A simple note - "we're looking into the ongoing server issues" would be more than enough. (for me) The silence gives room to speculations, hate comments, more frustration next the one (we) A LOT of people already have because they are are unable to play the game. Even from a pure marketing standpoint the silence will make people turn away and most likely make up their mind not to support their favorite free ARPG. Accountability for ones action (or inaction) will give a company much more sympathie and empathie then those that are silent and slide it under the rug. Yeah this is becoming seriously unacceptable at this point. I can accept certain issues in PoE2 from an early-access perspective, but I have never had so many connection issues in PoE1, ever. Can't even finish the campaign at this point, no matter if I connect to EU, Russia or US (I'm in EU myself).
I don't know what datacentres or ISPs they are using in EU but I have never had so many annoying connection-related issues with any other ARPGs. This is the first league in PoE1 that I can't recommend to my friends, due to these issues. Which is sad since the content is ace. |

" I'm in the same boat (also EU here) -> struggling in ACT 8 for 4 hours; half a zone DC - rollbacks... switching between EU, US, Russia... The thing is though they knew (long) before 3.26 that EU servers had issues because Jonathan even admitted it in one of the recent interviews. They had issues with POE2 too... so what's happening now is indeed unacceptable. At the same time I was expecting issues... -> Kind of an ongoing trend with GGG sadly. And I want their games to succeed - but they have to deserve our support first and earn (back) our trust. |
