Tasalio Cleansing Water

I believe that the chieftain ascendency Tasalio, Cleansing Water is not being applied to the fire resistance from dual resistance modifiers, ie "+10 fire and cold resistance". Don't have a piece of all resistance gear to see if that works or not. Thanks.

Without Tasalio, Cleansing Water, 100% of that modifier's value applies to Fire Resistance and Cold Resistance. Adding Tasalio, Cleansing Water will not replace the current 100% application with the lower 50% application the ascendancy grants.

Similarly, a modifier that already applies 100% of its value to all three resistances (like the implicit of Prismatic Rings) will not be affected by Tasalio, Cleansing Water.



These behaviors are also present with other modifiers that cause a % of one stat to apply to another stat. Crystallized Omniscience works similarly: it causes modifiers that grant attributes to instead grant Omniscience. A modifier can only apply to a stat once, so a modifier granting +10 Strength gives as much Omniscience as a modifier granting +10 Strength and Dexterity.

Similarly, because a modifier only applies to a stat once, Tasalio, Cleansing Water does not make a modifier granting +10% Fire and Cold Resistance to grant +15% total Cold resistance--it only applies to the stat once, at the higher rate of 100% of its value.
