PoE 1 being recognized as PoE 2 by other PC apps

You guys pushed an update that made it so now Windows sees both PoE1 and PoE2 as being PoE2. This broke a lot of overlay's and other apps.

This is usually caused by both POE1 and POE2 having the same executable name (PathOfExile.exe), even though they exist in different folders.

Sure enough, the Path of Exile 2 Exe was name PathofExile.exe. Guess it was when PoE2 updated today as well. No idea why it took effect after it was fine for over 6 hours on league start.

People reported this same problem with nVidia in December, after they first installed poe2.
Sounds like nVidia GeForce software has behaved this way for several years. It likely wasn't directly related to poe patches. |
