@GGG I have worked on game development with Microsoft and I know full well for an emergency patch (as we have seen in poe2) you do not need 24 hours to find, fix and cert the urgent repair!!!!!
If you as part of the Sony poe2 cross play deal agreed to "no patches to other platforms before PlayStation on GGG games" then you have today lost currently 35 thousand players ! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE !!! (no disrespect to our Sony poe1 brothers and sisters but you all know if this was the other way around you'd be '£$%"&* furious as well) At this time you have (as you for certain know) over 100 thousand very annoyed console players with a huge amount (because most are younger than PC players and put their money into games not hardware) of disposable income and fuming at the ears !!!! " Whilst I cant agree this was someone at GGG lying (but imo def keeping to an NDA deal they made with sony to get poe2 cross play) it would never have been allowed in CWs time, he would have told sony where to go in 2 words if they demanded that or not participating in poe2 cross play. Just curious, was the console timeline known before launch?
Meaning that did GGG know it will take approx. one day? Would have appreciated if that would have been communicated.... Now waking up much earlier than normal, since 8 hours surely was enough to fix it, just to discover the announcement stating "within a day" kinda pisses me off. Somewhat again regret buying a support pack. |

" you and 100 thousand (almost an hour ago so much more now) others :( this is commercial suicide for poe1 imo to answer your question they discovered the problem when they launched and then had to fix pc first (no problems with that) and then fix console (will take an hour maybe 2 i my opinion as an ex game developer, now retired) and push it out for certification. MS will instantly cert an urgent patch and sony still to this day will not unless its just for their own platform. I wonder how all the other cross-platform fans do it 🤣 they haven't even fixed the problem much less sent Sony something to cert otherwise they would say waiting for cert to update us
