You definitely can.
If you just go to your game collection (not the part where you would launch the game) and click on PoE, it should show both the PS5 and PS4 versions, and you can click the PS4 version to download it.
You can also do it through the store instead, but it's more of a pain.

PS5 - friend got the update as we were both talking and I never did. Still don't have the update and still can't login.

No dice. Maybe for a regular PS5, but not an exclusively digital PS5 Pro.

No dice. Maybe for a regular PS5, but not an exclusively digital PS5 Pro.
I have a PS5 Pro and I can see the PS4 version. Unless your hardware / account is magical, you should be seeing it too.

Just find game at store click those ... (3 dots) and choose ps4 version.
