Can the appearance and functions of the purchased map device be used separately?

I think the appearance and functions of the map device should be used separately. For example, after purchasing the Sacred Archives Map Device, I can use its appearance alone and arbitrarily select the functions of all map devices I have ever bought, enabling one or more functions to take effect simultaneously, such as the previous playtime timer.
