The Removal of Memories

hello, So in one of the last posts of GGG they removed All of the Memories, I really wonder why Memories were my go to strat at every league start and i am pretty sure many other players have similar thought.

as i remember either 3.24, 3.25 mark said they will buff memories however they got removed now which is confusing for me.

They got removed because new "expansion" is pretty much reworked Memories.

i like their removal because i disliked running them but but I always felt scammed by selling them so now that they're part of the core end game mechanic i no longer have a choice and i'm much happier that way having to make choices is the worst think in this game i just want to turn off brain even more and not have to think about anything but the next mob pack

Play PoE Two if you dont like having choice. They made sure to remove every single player choice from the game.

yes i get why you feel its a scam, selling the loot for 70% is low however it save you way way more time that you can farm with which lead you being getting more then the 30% missing trying selling the loot by your self. So its a win win for everyone
Memories are easy fun currency. but i would assume they removed it because it overlap with the new league memories. leading the old memories to be modifiable similar to the new once, so they decided to just remove it which ngl i find lazy. wish if they did something better

The new endgame sort of took over the whole memory concept, so the rework is probably a buff compared to what we had before.
Personally, I don’t really mind the old ones being removed cause drop rates were pretty clunky. They only started showing up once you didn’t really have much use for them anymore.

screw memories, they sucked big time, running boring maps to find exclusive beasts you need for crafting? great

There are things like memories, which I didn't run on a regular basis, and then after collecting a lot of them, would just run them for awhile.

What really irks me is that instead of just not letting new memories drop, they are taking away the ones we already have. I wish they would just leave standard completely alone.

How did you even reliably drop memories to form a strategy around it?

For reference, I can go to like level 97 without dropping a single memory. Sometimes I can drop a few. What strategy T.T By the time you have a lot of them, you are way overqualified for that content.
