People get so lost in the crafting talk, devs are super inspired by D2 and that game never had crafting and people are still playing it 20years later. I dont think deterministic crafting is needed, they are improving loot and adding extra options I am hopeful the game will turn out amazing on the 1.0 release

I hate how poison keeps getting reduced duration for a single instance.
Slow, hard hitting skills don't apply as many stacks while fast hitting skills are weaker, so they can apply more stacks. The DPS number would look the same but one build is fundamentally worse because it's constant attacking for damage while the other just sets and forgets. Why would you treat poison like it's POE1 when the damage application is calculated based on hit, it's a supplemantry mechanic that's not ever worth investing into other than a bit of poison chance. |

And Poe1 has been in top of stream charts for player counts, your point is that old heads like their first ever game so it's better to recreate that? Rather than think of what's fun, from the first game, that could be itterated better. |

Why GGG keep making the same mistakes on certain issues? The example of the talisman is trash with poison . NO ONE is going to want that one because poison builds will never be useful in Poe2 until they add mods and skill gems that make them OP or perform like they are NOT DOT. Damage over time builds cannot be used in POE2 because no one has TIME to wait on the effects to kill the enemy when they are rushing you. Poison can only be used to support a build. By that point it might as well focus on something that can wipe instantly instead of an ice + poison or fire+ poison etc. poison is a skill that can’t be great by itself it needs to support another main attack. My point is : why create a (HARD TO FIND) talisman for builds no one is using???????? This is another moment when GGG is making stuff just to say they have variety. AND +1 poison is already on a unique and somewhere on skill tree.

" You just don't know what are you saying. POE1 was also inspired by D2 and somehow poe1 has deterministic craft. The reason why POE has quantity and rarity before it's because d2 has. The facts that people are still playing the same game for 20 years not much related to deterministic craft but because of combined reason. |
