Question about Aftershock

Im currently playing a Smith of Kitava warrior and am running around with the Stampede skill. My aftershock chance has been 91%. I crafted a new weapon yesterday and when i equip this, my aftershock chance goes up to 101%. There is nothing on the weapon that suggests more aftershock chance and many of the stats are in the same category as my previous weapon, just different values. Any ideas why the chance goes up? Are there any stats that indirectly influence aftershock chance?

Only thing I can think of is if you are using the support gem that scales aftershock chance based on the attack time of the skill it is supporting.

15% increased aftershock chance per 0.25 seconds of attack time. The new weapon must be slower. Maybe that is it?
