not drop quantity or values, but class and build diversity
The fatal issue with game boosting engagement: it’s not about drop quantity or values, but Class and Build DIVERSITY.
You’re heading in the wrong direction, GGG. Small, diverse combinations are what drive engagement and spark creative builds, leading to class balance. Your game operations and development are heading in the wrong direction. Before adjusting your direction, your engagement will keep dropping. The fix is simple: bring back the previous builds, and your engagement will rise. The key is whether you can recognize the underlying game operation principles and the reasons for your directional mistakes—this is a matter of awareness. The execution is easy to resolve. " I feel like the only people who bring up build diversity are the ones who just follow build guides. I know 75 people or so who play POE 2 and we all have our own build that is non-meta and we are all smashing t16s and end-game content. The problem with the previous builds was that it is not in-line with the conceptual framework and vision of the game. The players who prefered those builds can have all the fun in the world with POE 1. GGG made an amazing game with POE 1 so we can only assume POE 2 is going to be just as good. I personally prefer POE 2 over 1 but yeah. |
