Anyways, i am not that naive that i am not aware of the class played imbalance, that's obvious as all hell. Just figured i'd throw in that two cents, as its clearly not 'accurate'.

The strange thing is, i know ALOT of people play warrior builds.. O,O additionally, only 74k characters? 500k people came...

Something off for sure.

I don't know, surely there's also some javazone nostalgia at play here. But quickly it became apparent that that LS was by far the best clearing skill in the game.

Huntress being a new class doesn't explain the obvious imbalance between it's two ascencies.
Last time when GGG nerfed something in 0.1 people raised a wave of wail, so they are hardly restricted at meaningful balance changes during league now. So, yeah. They are stepped in their own trap.
And yes, build diversity is really... BAD now.

This only counts people above a certain level. And zero % of those people chose to remain ascentionless
View point 8 in my post. Note that this post was made a couple days before 0.2 was implemented. Just by reading the patch notes and knowing the way they operate, it was easy to tell this would happen.

I don't know, I could be entirely wrong but I think ggg possibly overestimated the player reaction from 0.1, early broken builds nerfs, the main problem I think was that respeccing wasn't that easy and ggg didn't just nerf the builds but destroyed them so some people got into a soft dead-end.

But ok that's fair enough. On the other hand I'm almost certain nobody would complain about mid league buffs on some of the least used classes/skills.
Some ascendencies desperately need some attention, I think.

Well... lightning damage is above others because shock increase damage received by 20% from ANY source ...

When the "meaningful gameplay" is about nuking the screen clean guess who will be better than anything else?

Well something was going to be the best. When that coincides with the nostalgia .. you get that type of result. IF the best skill was in the monk, you would not see that much concentration because of it.

In fact I think lightning thing is.. it spreads seeking targets. It is naturally more efficient to clean a dispersed screen of mobs because of how the "arcs" seek targets. If you had jsut a round "Fire" explosion would nto be so effective.

Lightning damage is clearly the favorite child.
You wouldn't ever put up a build without asking youself how you'll inflict shock somewhere in there, it would simply be stupid not to.
