league cadence prediction

PoE -- 3months --> PoE2 -- 3months --> PoE etc etc... that is what seems most logical to me the in between period they would likely fill with filler events in the one not launching a new league.

later yes.. While POE2 is in EA I would expect only a 6 month cycle.
Essentially yes, that is what I was implying. The other and probably more ideal for the players would P1 2mo P2 2mo P1 etc.. but I don't think GGG can pull that off.

PoE - 2 months - Last Epoch - 2 months - PoE and so on
Yeah, I really like LE Season 2 and chose to give EHG my money instead of GGG. That being said some of the boss fights that block progression still being a little janky was off putting enough for me to go right back to PoE.
Even before poe2 it used to be 4 months cycles so i assume we'll get 3 leagues per year at best for each game, which is fine cause thats new content every 2 months if you play both games

i'd personally prefer 4 anyway, even 6 would be fine cause quality>quantity

6 leagues a year means new content every 1.5 months, and that includes the announcement of the announcement, teaser, and trailer.

That’s not just unrealistic for the dev team, it’s a nightmare for players. Less time to explore, more pressure to rush, and quality would nosedive. Player burnout would spike, engagement would drop, and ultimately, it’d kill the game over time.

And that’s just for one game. If they try to pull that off for both PoE1 and PoE2, we’re talking 12 leagues a year. That’s not sustainable, it’s a recipe for disaster.
No need to get unrealistic just because 3 or 4 leagues a year supposedly “ain’t enough.”

I believe we are all talking months between leagues not number of leagues. So a PoE league followed by a PoE2 league 3 months later would give each game 2 leagues per year with probably some filler content for each in between. This is the most realistic given GGGs apparent inability to handle two seperate titles on the previous life service cadence of PoE.

yeah you've misunderstood my post, just like exsil said i mean 4 or 6 months between leagues.
think GGG is too ambitious with 3 months circles (so every 6 weeks new league if you play both games, that might burn out even players who play both of them alot)

In the interview today with TalkativeTri Jonathan stated a return to 4month cycles with 2 months between PoE and PoE2 league releases. I wish them.luck in that endeavor and would certainly still be happy with 3 between poe and poe2, certainly if poe2 becomes playable for the casual gamer at some point.
