Citadel Compass, Maybe? – My Insight into End-Game

I can't find the last citadel type on my atlas, and I've reached the point where I'm just numbly running maps, hoping to stumble across it...

That said, I will say that the end-game system in this league feels much better. I’ve been far more engaged, and overall, it’s just a lot more fun.

But there are a few things that would’ve made my end-game experience even better:

1. Maybe a compass – a consumable item that could point you toward the nearest citadel of each type. I’ve found around five citadels of the same type, one of the second, and none of the third...

2. Simulacrum first book drop – I’m at the point where the only content that still challenges me is the Simulacrum. Even logbooks with many (MANY) damage mods on enemies are still easy. (Sure, I can get one-shot with 9.3k ES and 1.5k life, but it’s still fun for me ^^).
I got to wave 12 and failed, and without points for the tree, it just means I have to grind a lot to get there again.
I think the first time you reach wave 10, you should get the book drop guaranteed, just to help players progress.

3. Audience with the King – I target-farmed Rituals for most of my maps and only recently found this item. I’m fine with the high Tribute cost now that I know it’s in my pool, but maybe it shouldn’t be quite so rare?

I play SSF, so I can’t just buy the items I want... The end game, as I said, is better, but now I feel like I’m stuck mindlessly running maps that pose no challenge for my current build. I’d love to just check “Ash” off the list and move on to a new build — because without challenging content, I get bored.

I know most of the player base (or at least it feels that way) is loot-focused, but I need challenge to have fun. I’m not asking to make enemies harder (that wouldn’t be fair for everyone), so instead I just “do everything” with one build, then move to a new one so things get hard again. I even tend to migrate my stash to Trade and start fresh in SSF to make leveling harder too ^^

Please consider these points.
