DirectX12 Renderer will get you killed
This is the situation on my Acer Nitro AN515-54-77NT
Intel i7-9750H C: NVMe WD Black SN850X (OS/Shaders) D: NVMe Micron 2200 MTFD (Steam/POE2) Kingston FURY Impact 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz DDR4 CL20 KF432S20IBK2/32 Thermal Paste Cooler Master CryoFuze (CPU/GPU) Thermal Pads GELID GP-Extreme (GPU VRAM) Renderer: DirectX12 Display: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mode: Fullscreen Vsync: Off Dynamic Resolution: Enabled Windows Resolution: 1920 x 1080 Upscale Mode: Bilinear Max Render Resolution: 56% - 1067 x 600 Sharpness - Greyed Out HRD - Greyed Out Detail Settings: (Lowest Possible) Medium Trilinear Filtering Shadows Low Low Low 25% Low Advanced Settings: NVIDIA Reflex: Off (Greyed Out) FG FPS Cap: 30 BG FPS Cap: 30 Triple-Buffering: Disabled Target Framerate: 30 Engine Multithreading: Enabled Loading between maps/area is faster than Vulkan renderer. However, the game goes into HEAVY STUN when you open and fight Strongboxes. And during the lag, your controls hardly register to dodge or move away, and the monster still continue to attack you while your game stutters and lags. I can't even begin to imagine what happens if I attempt Ritual fights or open Breach and face the swarm. 1 on 1 boss fight seems ok. But on Vulkan renderer, the situation is much better but the load time between areas/maps (going through Portals/Waypoints) is very long. Must we play POE2 with RTX5090 for DirectX12 to work properly? Hmmm? GGG? Last edited by ShingoYabuki#8098 on May 18, 2025, 4:19:46 PM Last bumped on May 18, 2025, 9:47:13 AM
