Balance Idea Wand&focus Vs 2H staff
since 2h staff always felt bad here is an idea how to balance wand vs 2h staff
equalize the number of spell power and elemental dmg u can get from wand+focus and 2h staff to make them gives equal total maximum number in addition since whit focus u get extra Es add an implicit based on the element of the 2h staff fire staff additional implicit :extra 1 projectile cold staff additional implicit : 40% es recharge speed lighting staff : 25% projectile speed i think its a cool idea how to make 2h staff actually useful and fun in a way Last bumped on May 17, 2025, 9:17:41 AM

That's not enough to solve the issue. The biggest problem is that there is no base damage to scale, unlike with 1h and 2h martial weapons.
How it should really work: Wands and staffs have implicit MORE Spell Damage, just like martial weapons have implicit base damage. Obviously staffs should have higher Spell Damage. Staffs should also have higher max tiers of offensive affixes (eg. wands have max Skills +5, staffs have +7). Next, focuses should only have defensive affixes, just like shields. This way both wands and staffs are viable und you can choose between more offense and more defense.
