Leap Slam says "Nah, you're probably fine here."
|
I have Leap Slam on my left mouse button, where I always keep my primary skill.
Leap Slam refuses to leap if the mouse is hovering over non-hostile targets even if attack-in-place key is held down or the always attack without moving option is set on the gem. Leap Slam should always leap to the location (or direction) indicated when initiated. Expectations, using attack-in-place features, instead of standing still while being swarmed:
Leap Slam is great, but it's also dangerous when it "randomly" descides to not leap because I'm hovering over an item in the middle of a pack or whatever. Especially if I'm explicitly holding the attack-in-place key, at the very least disable item pickup and actually attack when I click to activate the skill. --- Bonus: Taking slam damage while airborn seems a bit odd to me, as though Leap Slam should be a form of active mitigation for such. It's especially noticeable while leaping towards a mob that decides to slam just before I arrive, and results in me often just trying to slam the space slightly adjacent and behind them -- see item issues above. In a way it's like being swatted out of the air, so it's fine but less so when I can't actually jump to an item-filled location to avoid being swatted. Bonus: Not sure I should need accuracy for a slam. It's not hard to come by, but slams are by definition imprecise area attacks that should just be affecting everything in that area.
