I think its gonna be more useful later when we have more crafting options.

I also think the % chances are too low currently. I remember Jonathan talking about it in a interview stating that it wasnt meant for creating perfect 6 affix rares but to give you a decent chance at a 3 affix rare. But everytime I select more then 2 affixes it goes sub 1%.
