What? Not a fan of winning a 0.7% gamble, just so you can subsequently roll reduced attributes and bleed duration on it?
Of course the Recombinator is insufficient on its own, but it's obviously useful and will be even moreso when it's part of a larger range of similar mechanics

What are you trying to pull off items that is giving you a 0.7% roll? I've combined multiple max rolls and I rarely see chances under 10%.

How do you farm the tokens/currency for it?

I am having difficulty farming currency. I takes me 2 maps to get 1 attempt.
The 0.7% was a three mod Hail Mary and I was using it more for comedic purposes. However, I've often dropped below 4% with 4Level to skills bows and that isn't even a max tier. For it to not feel frustrating the chances on it should be at the bare minimum doubled if not outright tripled.

Right now I just don't. I spam maps and dump my rares into a stash tab which I occasionally sort and trim keeping only rares with desirable rolls.

Once I have a stockpile I just use the Currency Exchange to grab a bunch of artifacts and then I play around to see if I can cook anything up. Prices fluctuate a lot, but generally speaking you can get 100s of any given Artifact for a few dozen exa most days. e.g.,:



I doubt this is how things will work in the final release of the game -- I think they want to incentivize us to "play around" with these mechanics so they're feeding us a bunch of crafting currency, which is why it's really weird/frustrating to read these posts of people complaining about it like it's basically just a free toy right now to play with items that you would otherwise be vendoring or disenchanting anyway.

And I've made a couple div here and there pulling max chaos resists or +skill rolls off of otherwise low-value items, then just selling those items as is.

Bro, it's a game mechanic. By that logic they can give all the orbs a 80% failure rate because they're just a way to play with items you'd otherwise just be vendoring or disenchanting.
I agree chances are 2 low for a mecanic that already sacrify 2 items per attempt.

It has 2 flaws. U cant target the highest tiers if u wanna sucess and u cant do another attempt since u will need another base with that high tier atributes...

There should b a way to increase ur chances by using a second currency maybe or having the base % higher by itslef.

Maybe I am crazy, but for something that only grants 2 affixes (3 if u fracture one before the recombination, is 2 epensive.
(and I mean it cause of base cost, not the currency involved)

I did a test with 2 quad stashes full of spears with somewhat decent rolls. I ended up with 3 spears with 3 meh things. The rest gone into the ether. For 3 mid-range spears.
