Orbs of Chance need to be useable on more than just non-magic items.
It is incredibly frustrating to have the currency to try and upgrade items to unique, but then not actually be able to because you can't find the item in it's non-magic state. I have been playing for over a day's worth of played time since the magic find change, and I have yet to find a non-magic topaz ring.
To put this into perspective, I have accumulated 8 orbs of chance with only disenchanting duplicate legendaries, and I have yet to see a single non-magic topaz ring in all of that time. Maybe I just have really bad luck, but this seems kinda ridiculous. I've tried removing all my magic find, playing at end game, bringing my high level character to low level areas (still high enough for the item to drop though), and leveling a new character through the campaign. Nothing has worked. To me, requiring orbs of chance to be used on non-magic items seems like an arbitrary and unnecessary roadblock. I realize this is how PoE1 did it, but since you didn't bring Orbs of Scouring over to PoE2, maybe you could revisit this requirement too. Yes, I'm playing SSF and I shouldn't expect everything, but not even being able to find a NON-MAGIC item seems a little too out there. Last bumped on May 13, 2025, 2:29:17 AM

Lower your rarity as much as possible.

I already did get down to 0 increased rarity, but I wasn't aware that I could go even lower. Thanks for the tip!
