They are not fun.

The only counter play to stacking 5-10 negative affixes on your character is to kill the boss so fast that it doesn't matter - which I thought was opposite the point of the game.

Consider the tornado bird.

The only counter play in this boss fight is to kill it so fast that it's trivial.

Their are only a handful of builds that can accomplish this.

What is the point of the boss if this is the counter play? Why even have it? Why not just have a button that checks your DPS and lets you through a door or not?

I just went into this fight with a 20k dps ice spear/tornado build. I have to build charges with a bow because I can't stand next to the boss (blood globules, pyramids). The bird goes into the "spike attack" but there's no way I can dodge behind him because I'm zoned away by the blood globules and the pyramid beams - it's impossible to do the dodge because I was forced into taking affixes that make the fight impossible. As I dodge roll to avoid the blood globule, he goes into the spike attack and I die on the first hit. There is. no. counterplay.

Almost any set of 5-7 affixes results in the same thing.

Why are there no trade-offs in the chaos trial? It's chaos right? Why is every single effect negative? Why isn't it "take blood globules, but gain 25% chance to bleed". "Monsters deal extra chaos damage and you get extra armor."

Why is it that we are forced to suffer with anti-fun mechanics just to play our class to the fullest extent?
