Suggestion - medium multiple projectiles support gem

This gem would be between the lesser and greater multiple projectile support gems and would fire 3 additional projectiles. The problem with having an even numbers of projectiles is that they aren't actually pointed at the target, but instead go a bit to either side.

hehe.....you do realize that's why Volley and Greater Volley are in the game right? To have straight projectiles?

You also realize that this is meaningless because there are extra projectiles all over the place if you really want an "even" number.

Also....even-numbered projectiles is a problem (as you said) because then you DON'T attack where your cursor is. The natural split of an even number would leave a hole right in the center, no matter what the spread. So why do you want a gem that gives an even number?

Unless you just aren't doing the math.....

You start with 1 projectile: Lesser adds 2 for a total of 3, GMP/GV adds 4 for a total of 5.

By the time you can afford/find Awakened GMP for +5, you likely have additional ways to make aiming meaningless.

The thing is though that with greater multiple projectiles I have a total of 8 projectiles. And yes, I have chosen the ascendancy class that gives two more projectiles. Somewhere something else is giving me one extra projectile, but I have no idea what. It may be one of my passive skills, but the tree is rather difficult to navigate.

I mean....at that point with 8 projectiles you should be having NO ISSUE aiming, as per my other post. I would assume you learned long ago that the further your cursor is from your character, the less the spread is? And also.....there isn't a single projectile build that isn't either 1) using a skill with MORE coverage than just the initial arrow or 2) using fork/chain/split that makes aiming irrelevant. A "naked" 8 projectile bow skill.....doesn't really exist.

And for the record, even if it DID exist, that's a problem for you the player to solve, not the game to solve for you. Like everything else, if you feel like you are missing projectiles, figure it out!

There isn't a single projectile-based build that would CHOOSE to lose a projectile at that point in the build. And the even/odd predicament is self-inflicted and easily remedied WITHOUT having to add an arbitrary THIRD projectile support.

Not knowing where your projectiles are coming from is a HUGE problem and red flag.....YOU created this build, how can you possibly not know what you have? YOU chose the passives for a reason. YOU can search your tree. YOU have all the time in the world to go passive by passive if you choose.

Possible Solutions:
1) When you get more than 4L, add in chain/fork
2) Find the +1 projectile and remove it if its causing grief
3) Aim differently
4) Use a different bow skill
5) Use Sniper's Mark

Every one of these is BETTER than a "medium multiple projectiles" that helps no one and only adds an unnecessary skill.

Look....obviously you are new to the game. I'm not trying to brow-beat you or turn you away. But come on man.....before you ask the GAME for something which you KNOW you don't know enough about, you gotta at least TRY to fix your issues on your own using the tools provided. You will get NOWHERE here if you think build issues are always a game problem.

Sorry, it seems I found out where that extra projectile was coming from. Now that I removed it I only fire 7 projectiles.
