Stuck in ritual - Channel

In the map Channel, we got stuck in a ritual with no way out after beating all of the monsters in the area. There were some terracotta soldiers within the ritual circle that wouldn't activate so I'm wondering if maybe that's why the ritual wouldn't end. There was also a monster health bar visible just outside of the fog/barrier that we couldn't attack.
