I got banned because of using Exiled Exchange 2 (Price Checking Tool)

If it's against the tos and might get you banned it's insane to me they keep posts up on these official forums talking about the tools..

there is a new trade system, however an app like this or coding to price check is probably for the best for GGG to update and do. or suggest an fair market value based upon actual prices of the market.

shit take but if this guy is getting banned for this for certain, not that ive used exiled exchange or some other price checker myself, id rather they also ban Path of Building and Filterblade too for parity since they hook into the game at certain points too as far as im concerned. Implement these systems into the game rather than take us out it.

What are u even talking about? Neither PoB nor Filterblade "hooks" into the game.

PoB just uses the official PoE API to get ur character data and imports that into the tool.
Filterblade works with GGGs official homepage and uploads/shares filters with ur account.

That's totally different than using a 3rd party app that interacts with the game client. And EE2 doesn't even do that, it just sends query requests to the trade site and copy/pastes the item into the overlay.

The thing that can get u banned is sending too many requests at the same time, basically DDoSing the site. I know this has been deactivated by default in Awakened PoE trade, so I assume it's default off in EE2 aswell.

You just described exactly what I am talking about. Phrase it however is comfortable for you if you don't like the term "hook" or "interface" or "access" as they interact with systems that are provided for regarding the game and this site as it also does the same. Point remains, some semblance of these systems need to be integrated in the game, and this guy shouldn't be banned if this is sincerely the reason why. Rate-limited if only.

Sad to hear that a tool that is basically required and recommended will get you banned. I've never needed to use support but I've never heard of anyone since Dec 6th actually getting help with support. Just news of no replies or template replies that don't help.

Never used it, not required at all.

I call bullshit, it is the same with awakened poe trade. People come to the forum and claim that they only used this and got banned for it.

These tools are used by thousands of people, including streamer. Even though GGG won't officially allow these tools (since they cannot control if the developers of these tools will do sth. shady in the future) nobody gets banned for it.
