Death does not remove the exp from your current map. It STEALS the exp from 25 maps that you did 3 days ago.

if you are thirsty, in the vast desert stranded and you've been collecting water from 3 days ago and then a strong gust of wind blows the cup over then its the earth that stole your water? or did you get careless and lose the water

or if you run into a pack of 50 gorillas and lose 2 limbs... was it the gorilla that stole your limbs?

heres another way to put it....

are you actually blaming the CURRENT map for your xp loss? are you very sure you have no part in it?

lets just say, i remove all my gear and walk into 1 white mob and melt. do we say the map stole my xp for the current map and ones before?

GENIOUS! This solves all the problems, Thank you so much for this solution. I should have thought about this a long time ago. This is revolutionary! It not only changed my outlook on the game but life itself! I will recommend this to all the players that i come across. Perfection! I am forever grateful to you for this solution!

Exp stealing is not practiced in the tutorial. Stop practicing exp stealing in the maps.

They could create 2 different player profiles. Something you can select at the start. One option is leave it like it is – difficult as you go deeper with XP loss, the loot ratios as they are, rare, good gear, and so on. This we’ll call the normal experience.

Then create another type of login. Here there are no leagues, no leaderboards or trading. You get no XP loss, tons and tons and tons of loot all itemised for your build and as much broken power as you can handle. This we’ll call the cry-baby experience*. 😉

Just watch how fast the cry babies reach the end of the game, get bored and move on – most likely complaining as they go.

You need a little skill check, some difficulty and hardships to make the wins feel better. If you’re give given everything like a spoilt brat*, the whole experience will feel empty and shallow.

*Note: The terms cry-baby and spoilt brat are just reference terms – not meant to berate or insult those kinds of players.
