Item Changes in Path of Exile 2

Tooooooooooo late

It is unfortunate that so many of these changes are happening when many of the player base has moved on.

As a POE supporter, I would encourage the development team to look towards thoroughly testing the impact of making significant changes for the open beta, released state of the game.

I reflect back to 2013 and how I was more willing to accept the current POE 2 style of changes - because I did not have a current understanding of what POE stood for.

As a longtime fan and committed POE player - I now have an internal bias towards all POE patches, releases, and seasons. I know what POE is, I know what the loot looks like, I know how to craft. As a player, I have an expectation for what POE is, because that it what I have learned over the past decade.

This type of perspective, understanding the player base, and the new POE internal bias we all have, should be considered when creating and implementing future POE 1 and POE 2 patches.

Thanks POE team and to the one person who reads this (e.g. Bex - the one person who really connected our POE community to the development team - in my humble opinion).

Yeah, like what is going on? I can understand there are some server or game file issues, but communicate it the players. So we know what the fuck is going on. Its not like POE2 is a passion project its a sequel of that. So its not unrealistic to expect more professionalism.

As someone whos been nothing but positive since 0.2, I hope yall realize how bad this looks right now. Like how do you botch a patch this badly, the servers have been down for an hour an a half, and the patch isn't even coming out until tomorrow now! I'm extremely disappointed. I know it isnt that big of a deal at the end of the day, but I couldnt help but say something. I certainly expect better from this company.

they cant even pretend to test anything anymore i mean its been on 5 minutes before this hours long crash

dont fking tell me you tested it.. only after like what 3 weeks of shitty loot?

Please put Hideout Trade Vendor on your priority list.
The state of trade has been a long standing issue but can be addressed with this simple implementation. Trade friction can still exist but this solution solves most of the interaction/afk/scam issues:

In practice:
1. We put items into vendor and price them - just like the current way with public stash tabs

2. Buyer finds item from Trade site and messages Seller. Seller Invites to Hideout (no need to leave map or change the party)

3. Buyer opens Hideout Trade Vendor and buys whatever they want at their convenience

4. Currency appears in a sold tab to collect later. Optional automated message to notify seller a trade occurred.


Hey, they might even buy other stuff from your vendor too - an extra fun experience for everyone.

Thank you for posting this. If we had this type of post on top of every thread instead of "rue is a cat" we could have better odds of getting a real trading platform. Cheers.

WHAT DO YA KNOW THE DEVS RUINED ANOTHER PATCH

This feels like the last straw for me. I have been decently positive through 0.2, but have increasingly lost interest due to the loot issues. Now I see they are finally fixing the loot issue, and I am excited to get back on and play. Download the patch, open the game, and the servers are down. Go to the forum, and they botched the patch so bad they had to roll back servers, which they have never done, even when duping ruined 0.1. The fact that they still have not got the servers back up and seem not to have the patch fixed as well. I can't believe they are dropping the ball this badly, and I don't know if I'll even try the patch whenever it does come out.
