Crafting is complete trash - change my mind
As per the title.
Also do not say that this is early access and GGG will add more stuff, I am referring to their Vision of crafting and the direction they are aiming for. The real question is, how do you change it without reverting back to poe1 crafting?
The hours i've spent spamming alterations, the amount of essences i've spammed, how do they even implement a crafting system that isn't spamming? I was onboard with the vision, get loads of currency, pick up gear and just go nuts.... but with barely any currency and even less gear to pick up, i'm not experiencing their vision. |

The system must work, that's all, and it doesn't matter whether it's about spamming or not.
If I see a 2% chance on the recombinator where the result is just a blue item, I never use it because I understand it's impossible to craft something this way. The same applies to omens. Everyone can calculate the chance, and everyone sees the chances are extremely low, so there's no sense in even trying. Path of Exile is about math. If the game offers unbelievably low chances for drops and crafting, it becomes an unplayable game. |

Crafting = gambling, better off selling the chips and buying the results
I'm sure there is a tipping point when crafting becomes more profitable but I only have max 2 hours a day to play |

Crafting is not gambling.
Craft: an activity involving skill in making things by hand. Thus, the result of crafting must be tangible items. If there is no tangible result, it is not crafting—it is gambling. In POE1, there are a huge number of deterministic and predictable crafting methods. In POE2, there is no crafting; there is only gambling. |

Really hope this gets reworked completely. Not only would this make a component of the game that really feels good if it worked, it would also solve the no loot problem for many players that play SSF or play solo in trade league.

Omen crafting is the same thing as poe1 crafting. By your 'logic' everything in poe1 is gambling as well as you cannot target specific mods and/or their tiers.
The problems with poe2 as far as crafting is concerned: 1) useful omens are too rare 2) you need to pick up 20 thousand bases Fix to 1) is self-explanatory. There is no fix to 2) as they want us to pick up stuff off the ground, but also lazily copy+pasted the entirety of poe1 itemisation, which is 99,999999999999% junk. |

" simply by yoinking LE crafting system, anyway reverting to poe 1 crafting system is a million times better than the current system, they just want new players to buy these quad tabs to horde white bases and eventually they will give us alteration and scouring orbs :D |
