Bug Report # 3,693,384,832
Debug # 2,886,840,665

Error Message:
Request rejected due to your cross platform limitations.

debug

I play on PC only - Windows 11 Pro 23H2
  • No Console is connected to my account
  • I do not own a console gaming device
  • No controller is connected to my PC (KB & Mouse only)
  • On PC there is NO option to disable/enable cross platform
  • Changing "crossplay_disabled=false" to "true" and back makes no difference

I get this error message when I try to invite ANYONE.
I also get this error message when trying to visit a friend's hideout.
It does not matter if they are friend, guild, or trade request.
I am unable to invite 9/10 times. For some reason it may randomly work.
Players ARE able to invite me 100% of the time.

  • I have deleted poe1 & poe2 from Steam
  • I have uninstalled Steam from the PC
  • All Steam related files have been wiped from the PC
  • I have deleted the poe2_productionConfig.ini file
  • I downloaded and installed the Standalone Client
  • Both poe1 & poe2 are installed

As a test to see if this is an account related bug with the game or a local file issue, my friend used my PC to log into his account and is able to invite ANYONE without issue. As soon as he logs out of his account and I log back into my account I get the same cross platform error message when attempting to invite the same players he invited.

  • When this test is done the same poe2_productionConfig.ini file in the Documents folder is used
  • This means all of my settings in my Documents folder are used in the game client
  • All keybinds are retained
  • All sound and graphics settings are retained

This leads me to believe a staff/dev team member would be needed to look into my account and hopefully be able to make a correction or adjustment, or this is an error with cross platform implementation that needs to be patched.

To the dev/support team:
Please give PC the option to toggle enable/disable or do away with it completely.

Also, please feel free to email me if any more information is needed.

There are other users who have experienced this issue, but it doesn't seem widespread.

Their fixes for it involve logging in on Console, enabling the setting, then disabling the setting--which is a problem if you don't have one.
        Bumping this for GGG's attention

Please look into this as I'm still experiencing this bug on PC.

To reiterate - I DO NOT HAVE A CONSOLE OR CONTROLLER

I again uninstalled poe2 + Steam from the PC and wiped every bit of residual program data from my machine relating to Steam + poe2 via Revo Uninstaller.

Hopefully this cross platform issue can be fixed in a future patch.

        Thanks
